Launch Pad

KSS Launchpad aims to support students development of reading skills. Our two learning support assistants (LSAs) are trained to deliver the program. Students engage in a sequence of activities designed to build literacy skills and their confidence when reading. These activities include sight word recognition, reading and questioning and a conclusion of a literacy game. Our students work one to one with an LSA in the Launchpad room for short twenty minute sessions weekly. The Launchpad LSAs collaborate with the classroom teachers on the progress students are making. Launchpad sessions as part of the Inclusion Support Program.
